When he meets Sylvia, a young woman from a Deaf family who introduces him to sign language, Billy suddenly feels confidence and a sense of belonging to a 'tribe' he's never known before. Winner of the 2012 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play, Tribes is a biting yet poignant new drama about love, family and finding one's voice." A Guthrie dramaturg assigns parts.

Mill City Commons

In the Know!

Hi, my name is Beth Elliott and I am the new Program Coordinator for Mill City Commons. Thank you to those I had the privilege of meeting at the Rendezvous on 5 this last week. Your warm welcome solidified what I already knew: I am going to love working here! I come to Mill City Commons with nearly 10 years of nonprofit program coordination experience. Though trained and hired as a marketer, it was quickly discovered that I have a knack for creating efficient processes, fully utilizing the resources at hand, and keeping a level head when working in fast-paced environments. With these skills, I have been given the opportunity to work with committees and boards and help them solidify and achieve their goals as well as market their programs to our membership and prospects.

I live with my husband and 4-year-old son in the South metro. In my free time, I love coordinating events and get togethers with my friends and family. It is through this coordination that new friendships have been forged between and amongst my various groups of friends, and it has been wonderful to watch new support groups grow through our gatherings.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve your community. I look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks. If you have a chance, drop me an email this week to tell me why you joined Mill City Commons. I can be reached at bethelliott@millcitycommons.
org.
