You'll find details and links to registrations below.  -- Linnea

Water Works
Thursday, January 17, 4:30-6:00 pm;

Washburn Lofts Community Room, 700 South 2nd Street

You are invited to learn more about Water Works. During the last few years, citizens and planners, largely with the assistance of an architect well-known for the planning of historically sensitive structures and spaces, have worked on ideas to enhance this last undeveloped site for public use, to deal with the boarded-up Fuji Ya restaurant, and to assure into perpetuity the protection of this historically significant land. The project is called "Water Works," as historically the site was also used for the pumping of water for city uses. Executive Director of the Minneapolis Park Foundation, Mary deLaittre, will be giving a presentation and refreshments will be served. This event is being sponsored by MCC Members Sue Bennett, Dave and Peggy Lucas, John and Laura Crosby, Penny Hunt, Keith and Mary Bednarowski, Cecily Hines and Margee and Will Bracken.
