This conversation will take place at Winslow House from 3:30-5:00 next week, but will move to a public location in the months to follow. Program Coordinator
Did You Know?
Winter can be a wonderful season to slow down, relax and curl up with a good book! According to the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, winter can also bring many challenges including increased risk of health issues, falls and feelings of isolation. Reduce your risk for the flu by eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of rest, washing your hands thoroughly, avoiding smoking and getting your annual flu vaccine. Wear shoes or boots with non-skid soles, watch for slippery patches and take your time getting around town. Make sure to have properly functioning carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms in your home. Despite the inclement weather, try to stay active physically and mentally and maintain social connections to avoid feelings of loneliness and isolation. Enjoy the quiet beauty of the season!
