Executive Director Update
Fourteen members with 10 vehicles met at North Star Lofts this morning and drove to Rainbow Foods where Store Manager Jeff Hamm had pallets of turkey, dressings and extra helpings ready for us to load. To do that, close to 50 members and friends donated a total of $5880 to our Turkey, Dressings and Extra Helpings campaign! With your generosity we were able to deliver groceries to 75 families for holiday meals and more for their local food shelf. It is especially valuable to families with children home during the week between Christmas and the New Year to have nutritious food. Members were also generous with clothing and gift donations. We delivered six carloads of clothing and gifts to three homeless shelters in downtown Minneapolis. Thank you, everyone, for opening your hearts and giving to those less fortunate! Happy Holidays! -- Linnea

A note from Patti Ries, Mill City Commons
Program Coordinator
Did You Know?
Many of you will be gathering with loved ones over this festive holiday season. Holiday gatherings can be wonderful, but stressful at times. To make the holiday season more enjoyable, WebMD suggests simplifying and reevaluating traditions that feel overwhelming. If necessary, modify traditions that no longer work for you or your family. Feelings of loss or unresolved conflict may surface and may impact the enjoyment of family gatherings, but can be minimized by changing your response to situations. Pace yourself, relax and enjoy the beauty of the season. Wishing each of you a happy, healthy and meaningful holiday season!
