Soprano Kristine Opolais and tenor Roberto Alagna star in Puccini's obsessive love story about a country girl who transforms into a Parisian temptress and the student who woos her. Richard Eyre uses a film noir setting in occupied France; Fabio Luisi leads the stirring score.

Teenage 'Eagle Huntress' Overturns 2,000 Years Of Male Tradition
