To enter, email Cindy Hassil with the title of the event in the subject line and include the following information in the body of the message:
  • Name of the show
  • For ballet entries, the preferred theatre (West Town Mall 9 or Tinseltown)
  • Your name and phone number
If you want to enter more than one contest, please send a separate email for each contest you enter. We'll do a random drawing and contact the winners by email. Good luck!
Winning artist mug design chosen

We are excited to announce that the winner of WUOT's artist mug design competition for the fall drive is James E. Stamper. His colorful design features local hosts Brandon Hollingsworth and Kelle Jolly, as well as images of local and regional icons. It will make a lovely addition to your mug collection for a gift of $75 or more. Stay tuned for more on James' design and other ways WUOT is ready to say "thank you" for your support this fall.

Time flies by when you are having fun, and we've been having a blast at WUOT! But the fun has only just begun-it's time for the fall fund drive!
 
Did you know that 42% of WUOT's funding comes from listeners like you? Your donations help pay for the quality programming you enjoy every day. Without you, there wouldn't be a WUOT!
 
That's why we'll be asking for your support during our annual fall drive Oct. 19-24. Of course, you don't have to wait for the drive to make your pledge. To donate today, visit our website, email Membership Coordinator Jennie Caissie or call her at (865) 974-9558. Thank you!
 
Another way you can support WUOT

Every year, Kroger donates millions of dollars to nonprofit organizations through its Community Rewards Program. If you already shop at Kroger, please consider registering your Kroger Card for the program and designating WUOT as your chosen organization. Then every time you shop, you'll be supporting WUOT!
 
Signing up is easy. Simply follow these steps and you'll be set!
 
Step 2: Log in or create an account if you don't already have one.
Step 3: Click on "Community" then "Community Rewards" near the top of the screen.
Step 4: In the "SEARCH" field, enter WUOT-FM Radio Center.

WUOT welcomes Karol Harper

Karol Harper (left) has joined WUOT's development staff as the new membership assistant. Karol brings many years of fundraising and event experience to her new role, and is excited to learn more about the station and its members during the upcoming fund drive.
 
A Knoxville native, Karol enjoys ballroom dancing and spending time with her husband and son. She is a big fan of All Things Considered and Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me! In fact, you just might hear Karol on the air during the drive. If you hear her voice, please call with your pledge so she feels welcome!

Clone Your Dog For A Mere $100,000
The Duponts in Louisiana loved their mutt Melvin so much they jumped at the chance to replicate him. Melvin is gone now, but he has left behind two clones, Ken and Henry, as NPR's Rob Stein reports for Morning Edition.
