WUOT Puts the 'Fun' in Fund Drive

If you love Ira Glass, want to get to know NPR Science Correspondent Joe Palca, and enjoy helping worthy nonprofits in our community while supporting WUOT, you'll want to tune in during WUOT's spring fund drive March 23-28.

Joe will talk about his work and why he thinks it's important to support public radio on Tuesday. Friday's Community Partnership Day will give you the chance to give the Joy of Music School an updated website with help from Morris Creative Group. And on Saturday, you'll have the chance to win tickets to see Ira's May 30 show AND meet him at a private reception!

It's all going to be great fun, and it's all to support the wonderful WUOT programming you love and count on. We hope we can count on you during the drive. Thank you!

WUOT Endowment Fund Ensures a Bright Future!

Matt Shafer Powell has come up with a bunch of ideas on how to raise funds to ensure WUOT is there for you and future generations. Here are just a few:

  • Win the Super Power Ball Extra Plus Lottery and donate your winnings to the station.
  • Pick up every penny you see, and when you have a gazillion, send them to WUOT.
  • Develop a perennial money plant that we can harvest every year to fund WUOT's operations and programming.

Yep, he has a lot of ideas. And all of them are nutty. The best and EASIEST way to preserve WUOT for years to come is the WUOT Endowment Fund.   Learn more about how your additional gift now - or a planned gift later - can help carry WUOT's legacy forward.

Thank you!

The British are very specific about how they take their tea: black, with milk and sugar. But steeping the optimal cup requires a surprising amount of chemistry. The Salt introduces their occasional feature "Tea Tuesdays" to explore the science, history, culture and economics of the brewed beverage.

The Streets Meet The Opera House

The Dallas Street Choir recently performed to a sold-out house. The group, comprised of homeless people, sang with renowned mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade. NPR's Wade Goodwyn has the story for All Things Considered.
