Ira Glass Drawing Kicks Off Last Day of Drive

It's the last day of WUOT's fall fund drive. If you haven't yet made a pledge of support, now's the time to do it, especially if you're an Ira Glass and
This American Life fan! If you donate today by 8 p.m., you'll be entered into a drawing to win FRONT ROW SEATS to see Ira Glass at the Tennessee Theatre May 30, 2015!

The Tennessee Theatre has generously donated two pairs of tickets to "Reinventing Radio: An Evening with Ira Glass" for today's drawing, so you have two chances to win. Tickets won't even go on sale until January, so you'll be the first to have them.

Ira will talk about how the award-winning show is put together: what makes a great story and where they find them. He'll mix some of the show's stories live onstage, combining his narration with pretaped quotes and music to recreate the sound of the show. He'll also play funny and memorable moments from the show, and gives the behind-the-scenes stories about how they were created. (There might even be balloon animals!)

Remember, you don't have to make a donation to enter the drawing. If you don't wish to donate, please come to the station to register before 8 p.m. We hope you'll help support WUOT though, because the funding we receive from people just like you helps pay for fabulous programs like This American Life.

It's EASY to support WUOT: Donate online, or call 865-974-5500 or 888-266-9868.  Thank you to everyone who has pledged support this week, and thank you in advance to everyone who will donate today!
