Premier Lighting Case Study: LED Highbays in a Gym
Customer Profile:
Located in historic Stillwater, St. Croix Catholic School educates children from preK through grade 8, and attracts families throughout the St. Croix Valley, from the east metro, and into western WI.
Goal:
The fixtures that St. Croix Catholic was using in the gymnasium had 2 bulbs within them - a 400W metal halide and 150W quartz halogen. The purpose of the halogen was to provide initial lighting while the metal halides warmed up to max levels. This was clearly an inefficient way to light the area and they were hoping to find a suitable LED replacement that looked more like your typical round highbay.
Solution:
Premier proposed new LED high bay fixtures from Litetronics to replace the existing fixtures. The sleek, lightweight design of the LED high bays made for an easy install and a modern look. They also came equipped with a shatterproof polycarbonate lens material with an impact rating of over 45 foot-pounds, meaning they can withstand the beating that often occurs in a school gymnasium.
