Representative McNiel is a fifth-generation Oklahoman and life-time resident of Bristow, Oklahoma. She was elected to represent State House District 29 in 2006, at the age of 27.
For the 2013 Legislative Session, Rep. McNiel served as Chair for Appropriations Subcommittee on Career Tech, the Appropriations and Budget committee, the Human Services Committee and the Economic Development and Financial Services Committee. She was appointed by the 2011-2012 Speaker of the House Kris Steele to serve on his leadership team as Majority Whip, as well as the House Political Action Committee (PAC) Chairman.
Rep. McNiel is a graduate of Bristow Public Schools and Oklahoma State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in both Agriculture Communications and Animal Science. Rep. McNiel and her husband Pecos have three daughters. Her love for her family and community keeps her focused and driven to continue her hard work with the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
