Commodity Pool Operations - NFA Rules

Greetings!  For those who would like additional information on the Commodity Pool Operation, we are registered with the National Futures Association (NFA) as an exempt CPO under NFA rules 4.14(a)(8) which means we are a non-profit pool with a few other regulatory requirements.  Please feel free to review our registration and other information at http://www.nfa.futures.org/basicnet/

The NFA is there to protect investors, operators and to regulate markets and as we move the pool forward we will update the pool appropriately with the NFA.  Our NFA ID is: 0353617.  We are currently only operating one (1) pool but will expand with the NFA as we grow.  Our current pool name is Trizen Commodity Pool.

As part of our CPO we will send each participant full disclosure on what we will trade (S&P 500 futures/option hedges), the historical and theoretical performance and the risks associated with the pool operations.  Since we are currently a non-profit pool this means the operator (Trizen) can only charge expenses.

Currently we are experiencing 7-9 business days of processing (bank and brokerage requirements) before any participant's funds can be actively traded.  Once funds have been transferred, they will immediately be put into markets and monthly statements will be delivered, or whenever requested.

Additionally, there are some rules as an exempt CPO around advertising, so the new website will NOT have any promotional material around being a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and Trizen is not "hanging itself out to the public as a CTA."  Please note, Edward Zaremba has passed the series 3 CTA exam to comply with running a registered non-exempt CPO.

The Trizen Commodity Pool does not tailor the algorithm to each participant.  All participants have the same strategy and all participants are currently accredited investors and shareholders in Trizen Systems, Inc.

Market Summary - Macro
S&P 500 Review

The markets seem to be trying to absorb the FED, the Dollar, the Euro, OIL, profits and all sorts of geo-political events and as such the market is in a Yellow state.  What can we expect moving forward?  More volatility and more questions around profits, revenues, Oil and the dollar; however, the professional hedgers have gotten extremely long in an increasing manner (going long in the S&P to protect short holdings in portfolios).  We fully expect a sell off at this point given the COT report, but most sell-offs have been short lived.  Given the nature of the markets as of late, look for a catalyst to trigger; however as of right now we are in neutral territory.  Recommendations: HOLD.

If you have any questions or if your advisor has any questions, please text me at 704-999-7844 or email me.  Some emails are blocking my responses so if I don't respond right away please try again stating you haven't received anything and I can try another email.

2014 - Video on Trading (originally sent 8/19)

EddieZ

Greetings! I have a video on the trading system and how it actually works and can be accessed by clicking on the following link:

https://meetings.webex.com/collabs/url/LfFrSL-OfXcw4yQ0nsobZlozTnKFjxhgPi3O7u53Una00000

The video will have to be downloaded in its entirety.  I will switch back to GotoMeeting shortly as our current webinar provider does not have an intuitive process and you can't simply access information without signing up first in most cases.

The video runs through the algorithm and trading for last 17 years.  Why 17 years of data and not more?  This is because the contract we are trading didn't start until 1997, so we go that far back--the data are also missing short volume and that didn't occur until 2001, so shorting prior to 2001 on volume data was not possible it appears.

The video also runs through a long only "buy and hold" strategy, a Trizen strategy, a buy and short strategy, a reinvest the dividends strategy, and a powerful reinvestment strategy starting with a larger account.

I hope you find the video enlightening and if you have any questions please contact me!

As for directions on accessing the next meeting, I will send that out before the meeting and I will be switching back to GotoMeeting (they didn't have a 1-800 number available until recently).

If you're having trouble accessing the above link, make sure you are viewing it on a Windows computer with Windows 7 or higher in most cases.  You shouldn't have to sign up for WebEx to see the above mentioned video and anyone can view!

Sincerely,

Edward Zaremba
