Welcome to the new Trizen Systems newsletter.  This will be the new format for discussing our algorithmic trading systems and other information.  Monthly updates will include Actual Profits/Losses, Commitment of Traders, Articles and Actual Trading screen shots. Pass this along to anyone that you feel would like to understand more about the financial markets, derivatives, and how to trade them successfully.

Commodity Pool Operations

       Greetings everyone!  It took some time but the Commodity Pool Operation is open to friends and families.  In 2014 we opened individual accounts, but after a review of the administrative items on these accounts it was determined to pool the assets together into a single account to take advantage of reduced trading fees and to have a single location to manage the fund. 

 

Having individual accounts is a great idea and many asked for this--they get an account in their name, control of that account, but that comes with owning all the fees and paperwork of the account and most just wanted the account to be managed by Trizen--in effect being a single user Commodity Pool Operation for each and every account.  It is simply more feasible to do this as a true Commodity Pool Operation instead.

 

So, the performance of the fund will now go back to a pooled account so we can move forward with a single fund that these individual accounts can access. 

 

What does this mean?  It means we will have a fund again in 2015 rather than running individual accounts.  We can report on a single account and we can have a much better approach to the overall strategy for the corporation moving forward.

 

It also means that we will be formed like a normal CPO under the National Futures Association and distribute yearly profits.  Like many funds, this fund, though formed as a corporation (Trizen Systems, Inc.) will likely have no profit as the profits will be distributed on an annual basis to those in the fund (or reinvested rather than distributed).  This is actually great news as the corporation will start making yearly dividends to those individuals in the fund if so desired.

 

We will have plenty to discuss as we continue doing more and more with the CPO but for now if you have had an individual account, we will reach out to each of you for instructions on moving your account to the CPO.

 

For 2015 we will have a monthly update on the CPO as well as our continued market analysis and other commentary.  A trading book on how and what we trade as well as the videos will also be delivered this year on a new website for fund participants (family and friends as well).

 

We look forward to a great 2015 and we look forward to advancing the CPO to one of the best commodity funds available.

The video will have to be downloaded in its entirety.  I will switch back to GotoMeeting shortly as our current webinar provider does not have an intuitive process and you can't simply access information without signing up first in most cases.

 

The video runs through the algorithm and trading for last 17 years.  Why 17 years of data and not more?  This is because the contract we are trading didn't start until 1997, so we go that far back--the data are also missing short volume and that didn't occur until 2001, so shorting prior to 2001 on volume data was not possible it appears.

 

The video also runs through a long only "buy and hold" strategy, a Trizen strategy, a buy and short strategy, a reinvest the dividends strategy, and a powerful reinvestment strategy starting with a larger account.
