Hello and Welcome,

Welcome to the new Trizen Systems newsletter.  This will be the new format for discussing our algorithmic trading systems and other information.  Monthly updates will include Actual Profits/Losses, Commitment of Traders, Articles and Actual Trading screen shots. Pass this along to anyone that you feel would like to understand more about the financial markets, derivatives, and how to trade them successfully.

2013 October

 The markets flashed green in a complete fools rally and have settled back down after the surprising NO ACTION by the FOMC to reduce or increase bond purchases.  We continue to be in Neutral, and have been through all of the summer and now heading into October not much has changed....except:

 

Washington.  There isn't much to discuss here other than the possibility of the U.S. defaulting on its debt.  This just can't happen; however, the drama with Obamacare and the government shutdown is pure politics at its worst and we believe they have shutdown the wrong parts of the government.

 

If you have to be in the markets, a hedge to the downside should have been taken.  Selling calls at 1750 may be considered; however, for most, you should simply look for better entries and quite possibly better markets.

 

 

      

 

Washington - Default?

Lets put it mildly--if the U.S. were to default, that would be one of the worst possible things to happen in our 230+ years as a monetary leader.

 

The folks in D.C. should all be sent home without pay, but leave a rep from each party from each branch of congress and the president--stick them in a room, and tell them not to come out until they have:

 

1) A balanced budget forever

2) An approach to Obamacare

3) A plat of action for our future (think long term here folks, 100+ years)

 

If they can't get it done, we fire them and start over.  Lets pray that our leaders get their collective butts in gear and get something done that is meaningful for the long term health of the economy, our families, and for the United States of America.
