A Message from the Chamber President

Dear Members:

The "official" onset of the summer season coincides with the Rhinebeck Chamber's Board of Directors "official" changing of the guard.  This year, we thank former President Vicki Haak for eight years of service to the Board and many years of active membership prior to that.  We look forward to many more years of seeing Vicki at events and calling on her for advice every now and then!

Along with that, we have the new slate of officers to let you know about: First Vice President Jesse Hewitt, Northern Dutchess Hospital; Second Vice President Philip Meltzer, Meltzer & Hill Wealth Advisory; Secretary Josh Burckhard, Rhinebeck Chiropractic; and Treasurer Bob Babirad, Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union.  I am very happy to be working alongside these colleagues, and the other members of our Board, to keep the Chamber a vibrant and viable organization that is a relevant resource for our whole community.

Speaking of vibrant organizations, I would like to thank Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union for sponsoring our joint Business Breakfast meeting this Wednesday at Montgomery Place with the Hyde Park and Red Hook Chambers.  Their beautiful new Rhinebeck branch is open and they are ready to help with all your banking needs, both business and personal.

Maureen Gates of Sharp Images Photographic is celebrating 30 years in business by sponsoring our July Business After Hours on Thursday, July 10 at the Liberty Public House.  Maureen is incredibly generous with her time and talent to so many of our local organizations, please join us to help congratulate her on this wonderful milestone.

Best wishes for whatever the summer has in store for you and your families - and I look forward to seeing you at an event!

Very truly yours,

Sean Kemp
