FEATURED PLACEMENT
Nevin Greene, Senior Software Engineer - Collaborative Software Development This late stage startup in the finance software sector has been growing aggressively. Recognized as the industry leader in the cloud-based method of IT development, Collabnet helps organizations leverage the cost and productivity benefits of collaborative development, agile methods and cloud computing to transform the way they develop and deploy applications. By partnering with Collabnet, companies can reduce multi-year, multi-million dollar software development and deployment cycles down to a fraction of their time and cost to become more agile at scale. With such an important mission, the Senior Director of Orchestrate Engineering partnered with Redfish Technology when it came time to recruit a Software Engineer. The mission was to find a strong test automation engineer with Ruby and Java experience, and complex problem solving skills, to build new integrations, enhancing existing integration for "enterprise readiness", and working to improve deployment and installation. The ideal candidate would also embrace the collaborative, agile development approach. Nevin Greene was the ideal candidate. He has experience as a Senior Software Engineer and Engineering Manager, with a strong focus on quality in software development, from building test automation frameworks to writing new features with quality and the end user experience in mind. He is a full stack Java engineer, with Ruby, ROR and many other new technologies. He has long enjoyed working as part of Scrum teams in a Lean-Agile environment. Nevin earned a Bachelor's Psychology and has pursued diverse Computer Science coursework and management training in conflict resolution and performance management. He is an avid surfer and a member of the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world's oceans, waves and beaches. After a solid decade progressing through various software engineering roles at his last company, Nevin was excited for a new leadership challenge and the opportunity to get back into a startup environment with a collaborative agile team. "Mike was really great to work with. I tended to avoid agencies when I decided to find a new job but after having a quick chat with Mike over the phone he seemed honest and pretty easy going, no hard-sell and no pressure. It turned out to be a great decision, Mike took care of everything except the actual interviews and kept me in the loop through every step of the process. I'd recommend Mike to anyone looking for a recruiter to help find them a new job." - Nevin Greene

PR Campaign As a country, we can be compelling the youth of today to study STEM. Create a vision of an American Renaissance, something much more exciting than this recovery. Something that reproduces the excitement of JFK's "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" a la Dot Com Tech Boom. Branding
As a company, tell your brand's unique story: mission, vision, backstory. For example: Loyal 3, democratizing the capital markets, making stock ownership easy and affordable for everyone. Barry Schneider, CEO, says "we believe that people make a difference. We believe in the bedrock principle of equal opportunity for everyone. INTERNET AND MOBILE PENETRATION
From Gaming to Computing Everywhere
The 2015 Internet Trends report by KPCB's Mary Meeker presents a lot of fun facts about internet usage and trends. US internet accessibility has hit 84% of the population already, and approximately 64% of Americans have smartphone subscriptions. Worldwide there are 2.8 billion Internet users (+ 8% over last year), and 2.1 billion mobile Internet users (+23%). Mobile data usage went up 69% last year, and 55% of that mobile data is from video.
The report also tells us that the user-generated live gaming / streaming audience is growing by 122% year over year. Internet offerings are expanding beyond gaming to music and movies, with content like exclusive live concerts and video game documentaries.
Gaming is big and it is becoming more social, interactive and engaging and proliferating across devices. Global Online Gaming Market 2015 predicts that gaming revenues via smartphones will double through 2017, and via tablets will triple. Competition has intensified with many new entrants in the gaming sector, however the market is still dominated by blockbuster games such as the Clash of Clans and Candy Crush.
