FEATURED PLACEMENT
Andrew Crocker, UI/UX Designer - Mobile App Tools
The co-founder and CEO of this innovative mobile application tools company, Apptentive, reached out to Redfish Technology to find superstar Seattle user experience/user interface talent. This startup's mission is to make it easy for app developers to communicate with their app customers to increase ratings and higher retention. As a 2012 member of the TechStars family and the first company in Seattle to ever receive funding from Google Ventures, attracting talent wasn't Apptentive's issue. Redfish undertook to find the right talent to both fit in and complement the skills and dynamic of this amazing team. Furthermore the ideal candidate would be a natural fit with the engineering personalities that make up the team and customer base.
Redfish handpicked Andrew Crocker for his leadership in responsive website and game interface design at several startups and small companies. Andrew has an entrepreneurial spirit and solid experience in design and development. As a senior web designer, Andrew worked closely with the staff to concept, design, and develop great interactive sites based on Drupal and HTML5 standards, and prior to that as senior web designer he played a central role in the creation of the company's powerful & easy to use interface. His visual and creative (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Illustration from Colorado State University) direction parallels his web development savvy. He is a strong team collaborator with excellent communication skills to boot! Andrew aspires to craft the future of customer interactions in a mobile world.
"Logan and Redfish were always there for me. They helped me navigate past the details so I could focus on the great position I was applying for." - Andrew Crocker

15 Tips for Clean/Green Tech Accelerator Success
Business incubators, also called accelerators, are designed to support the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services. Dedicated to startup and early-stage companies, technology incubators in particular have been the spring boards for the bleeding edge Silicon Valley companies such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Logitech, Intuit, Sun Microsystems, and PayPal.
Clean Tech Incubators have become an important and vibrant mechanism for launching clean technology ventures. The San Jose Environmental Business Cluster's hottest areas are in three areas predominantly: energy generation through solar use, water purification technology and systems, and recycling.

IS IMMIGRATION A SOLUTION FOR GROWTH?
Workforce Immigrations Trends
Reports show that immigration secures huge economic benefits through job creation and increased GDP. The tech talent crunch has been a persistent story throughout the recession and recovery, American companies need access to highly skilled international workers in order to compete. If we do not allow highly skilled foreign workers into the US, they will contribute to another country's economy instead of ours, and America would risk losing its preeminent place as the world's business powerhouses, and the Fortune 500 companies of the future.
