HEALING CIRCLE
You are welcome to attend
the next Healing Circle on Wednesday,
FROM 6 - 9 PM
SEPTEMBER 21, 2016
at Asbury Tower,
1701 Ocean Ave. Apt. 23 H
in Asbury Park, NJ.
PLEASE RSVP. Since the space is limited, I will need to know if you are coming. You can do this by e-mail [WASTEVENS@AOL.COM] , phone 732-284-9990, or text.
If I cannot accommodate everyone who wants to come on the date announced, I will offer a second date to those who call.
This is an opportunity to gather with other practitioners and share what is going on, ask questions, and receive support. It is also a time for both meditation and receiving Reiju and, of course, this is all followed by an exchange of Reiki.
Click on the link below for directions and give me a call if you are having any problems. There is a parking lot used by surfers and fisherman as well as others, opposite the front entrance of Asbury Tower, to the left of the boardwalk, which you can use FREE.
There are also parking spaces all around the building which have parking meters.
Also a block down any side street, there is open parking. It is a couple of blocks north of 404 5th Ave. where we use to have it and you can easily see the tall building from there. Feel free to call me if you are having any trouble. The Sunset Ave. Bridge is also closed for repairs to add to the challenge - but detour signs are clearly marked. Just touch the #1 when you come into the main entrance and the security guard will let you in. Take elevator to 23rd floor. TAI CHI EASY CLASS - 9 MOVEMENTS
Class at Brookdale Community College
THURSDAYS AT 1:30 PM
from July 7 to August 25th
at the Fitness Center
Classes at SCAN at the Monmouth Mall
May 10 - July 12, 2016
Tuesdays at 12:30 pm
Tai Chi Easy is carefully developed method and approach to Tai Chi and Qi (Chi) Cultivation that makes it easy, beneficial and fun from the very beginning. The student does not have to devote years to learning the traditional 108 movement form or even the shortened (24,36,42) form to enjoy the calming emotional and health benefits of Tai Chi. Tai Chi can be done sitting, standing, or walking. Movements may be done individually or in combination. Since it is a mind/body integration practice, it can reduce stress, and create a state of relaxation and calm. Come join us. It is safe for people of all ages and levels of fitness as the movements are low impact and place minimal stress on muscles and joints. Bill Stevens is a certified Qigong/Tai Chi teacher from the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi under the supervision of Dr. Roger Jahnke

5 POWERFUL REASONS WHY SENIOR DOGS NEED REIKI
If you're like me, dogs have always been the loves of your life and at the center of your heart. They never live long enough, and as they get older, it can be hard to admit that they are indeed "seniors," entering their twilight years. Older dogs often develop certain chronic conditions, and besides finding the support of a caring, holistic vet, sharing Reiki meditations with your dog can help both of you navigate the twists and turns of your aging dog's health journey.
Here are five powerful ways Reiki can help your beloved senior dogs:
1. An improved appetite. Older dogs often get finicky about eating in their old age. Besides getting creative with food choices, Reiki is a wonderful way to support senior dogs when they just don't seem interested in food. Many times, I've had the beautiful experience of the dog going over to his food bowl and finally choosing to eat, either during or just after a Reiki session. It's amazing!
2. Physical and emotional comfort. Old dogs deal with a multitude of unsettling physical symptoms, either from disease or just old age: an unsteady gait, a tilted head, nausea, arthritis, deafness and blindness-to name a few. Sharing Reiki sessions can address these issues and help dogs feel more comfortable in their aging bodies. When Dakota suffered from a bout of vestibular disease when he was about 12, I remember sitting with him and sharing Reiki. Although it was very difficult to see him struggling, sharing a Reiki meditation with him each day gave me a way to keep a positive mental focus of peace and healing. He improved much quicker than the vet expected, and I was able to keep a much calmer state of mind throughout the healing process. This articleoffers some tips on keeping a positive state of mind while sharing Reiki with your animals.
