HEALING CIRCLE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NEXT HEALING CIRCLE
You are welcome to attend the next Healing Circle on Wednesday, JUNE 10, 2015.
And will be held at Asbury Tower
1701 Ocean Ave. Apt. 23 H in Asbury Park
Since the space is limited, I will need to know if you are coming. You can do this by e-mail [WASTEVENS@AOL.COM] , phone 732-284-9990, or text.
If I cannot accommodate everyone who wants to come on the date announced, I will offer a second date to those who called.
This is an opportunity to gather with other practitioners and share what is going on, ask questions, and receive support. It is also a time for both meditation and receiving of an attunement and, of course, this is all followed by an exchange of Reiki.
Click on the link below for directions and give me a call if you are having any problems.
There is a parking lot used by surfers and fisherman as well as others, opposite the front entrance of Asbury Tower which you can use FREE. There are also parking spaces around the building which have parking meters.
Also a block down any side street there is open parking.
It is a couple of blocks north of 404 5th Ave. and you can easily see the tall building from there.
Feel free to call me if you are having any trouble.
The Sunset Ave. Bridge is also closed for repairs to add to the challenge - but detour signs are clearly marked.
HEALING CIRCLE DATES: Wednesday, June 10, 2015
Qigong vs. Reiki
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I study for my certification as a Qigong/Tai Chi teacher and continue to practice both Qigong and Reiki, I become more convinced that there is little if any difference between Ki and Qi or between Reiki and Qigong except for the way we access this life force energy.
I would like to share with you some quotations from a book written by my teacher, Roger Jahnke, entitled "The Healing Promise of Qi - Creating Extraordinary Wellness Through Qigong and Tai Chi, which I highly recommend to you. See if you can get a sense of what I am getting at.
[continuation from last newsletter]
The first breakthrough in your practice of any Qi cultivation method is simply to decide to do the practice. Whether you take a deep breath and relax for a moment, go down to your Tai Chi spot in the park, or attend a Qigong class at the local hospital, electing to "do it" is the gateway to the benfits of Qigong [Reiki]. This decision is what makes your practice so profound and powerful.
Turning your attention to the practice of Qigong {Reiki} initiates a major shift in consciousness which in turn triggers the benefits. Qigong implies a progression, a path, a way. Whether you are at the very beginning, exploring the possibility of engaging in intentful practice, or you are a seasoned practitioner, the conscious act of deciding to practice makes all the difference.
Having a practice does not imply that your Qigong or Tai Chi will automatically be perfect; it doesn't need to be. In the growing of a great garden there is a tremendous amount of cultivation before the harvest: preparing the soil, selecting the best seeds, planting, watering, tending, and waiting. Similarly, in cultivating Qi {Ki} there is a constant return to the essential components of cultivation to gain the harvest of inner harmony and vitality.
THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL QIGONG ASSOCIATION TAKES PLACE IN OUR BACK YARD - BASKING RIDGE, NJ JULY 17-19 [FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY AND ROGER JAHNKE IS THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER - COME FOR ONE DAY OR THE WHOLE WEEK-END. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

Kathleen Prasad's E-mails from Animal Reiki Source
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To all of you who are interested in Reiki for animals, make sure you get connected to Kathleen Prasad and have her send you her e-mail newsletters: info@animalreikisource.com
In her last e-mail:
3 Reasons Animals Make the Best Meditation TeachersCan I admit something to you? It isn't always easy for me to meditate. There are so many "human" challenges that can trip me up-an overactive mind that refuses to quiet, difficulty in accepting the present moment, or being so busy my energy is scattered all over the place. I want to share with you my secret weapon to strike down these obstacles and ensure a more powerful meditation: the animals.
You see, in my work with animals and Reiki over the years, I began to notice something interesting; when I would meditate and my animals would happen to be present, I found myself able to quiet my mind and be present with an open heart much more easily. I began to realize that perhaps I should rethink the way I approached my own meditation practice. Meditating alone is all well and good, offering numerous health benefits that have been backed by science. But when I began to meditate with the animals and follow their lead, all of the benefits of meditation I had always experienced began to improve. Here are three ways animals helped me become a better meditator: Check Out her new kindle book:
Learn to be the best animal Reiki practitioner you can be! This book will encourage you to practice listening to animals as your spiritual teachers to help you reconnect with your inner heart for healing. Based on the author's many years of experience sharing Reiki with animals, How to Help Animals with Reiki includes numerous guidelines and tips for treatments, information about how animals teach us about healing, why an open state of mind is so important when we approach animals with Reiki, and how to use things like patience, positivity, intuition and physical touch to help put animals at ease for optimum responses.CLICK HERE |
