Happy Easter, everyone. How time flies when you're having fun! The last time I was able to reach out to you by email was just before Thanksgiving. Since then, a lot has happened here at the gun range and in the firearms industry, as you are probably well aware.
In the midst of what was already a supply crunch due to the election, we had a record holiday season here at SAO. Then, all hell broke loose, literally in the case of the New Town shooting, and figuratively in the case of the supply crunch. With talk of gun and magazine bans and restrictions, ammunition hoarding by the government and gun owners, and limited production capacity, stock disappeared in a matter of days and prices soared.
As a result, we've been spending a considerable amount of time and effort over the past few months just trying to keep ammo in the range for you to shoot while maintaining a decent selection of the most popular firearms on the shelves.
We're happy to report that, even with the amicable departure of our founding General Manager amidst the chaos, not only have we weathered the worst of the storm, we've doubled our inventory, established new ammo supply lines, renovated the shop to accommodate more product and increased our customer base by at least 30%. (A warm welcome to all of you, by the way!)
Most industry experts are predicting it will be another 8 to 12 months before supply catches up to demand and things return to "normal". That may prove to be correct for the industry in general but here at the gun range, because of all the first-time gun owners (thank you BHO, "Shotgun Joe" and princess Di), we need to prepare for a new reality - more people in our area than ever need a place to safely exercise their 2nd Amendment right. This is even more true given the closure of a couple of ranges just across the Georgia border.
This state of affairs then begs the question: To build or not to build? More shooting lanes, that is. We are considering building six more lanes in the space on the other side of the retail area but need to be reasonably sure that we are not over-extending ourselves by making this large investment. So, we are asking you to help us by answering a few questions about your experiences at SAO and how you'd like to see us improve. This survey won't take more than five minutes to complete and the more honest responses we get, the easier it will be for us to make our investment decision.
Thank you in advance for your help and continued support of Second Amendment Outfitters. We're very fortunate to have such great customers. Please click here to proceed.

P.S. Don't forget that one of the benefits of annual membership is the ability to reserve a lane and jump ahead of the line, even during busy times like Saturdays. So, if you haven't already joined, please consider the advantages in light of our growing customer base.
