Brian's firm has practiced intellectual property law in Brevard County for over 20 years, specializing in patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing and related litigation.  His firm includes experienced patent attorneys and a patent agent which specialize in all patentable technology areas. Brian has personally prosecuted over 1,500 patents and has prosecuted over 1,400 federal trademarks through the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Brian was formerly a Senior Primary Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent Office for many years before starting his practice in Brevard County. He has taught intellectual property classes for the University of Central Florida Small Business Development Center for over 18 years and also the UCF Incubation Program, and has authored many articles for newspapers and technical journals on intellectual property over the years.

Part 1: Accounting System Requirements for Government Contractors | 10am - 12pm

Representatives from the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) will discuss the criteria for establishing an adequate accounting system in support of government contracts. Having a system prepared in advance will greatly increase your likelihood of a successful outcome and seamless support of your government contract. If you are planning on or currently supporting a federal government contract, you don't want to miss this opportunity to learn from the experts!

 

Part 2: Elements of an Adequate Price Proposal for Government Contracts | 1 pm - 3pm

Participants will learn what they need to provide the government in their price proposals.
