Timeless style with a modern approach

Based on the concepts and techniques of the Suhaila Salimpour Format these classes take a classical approach to belly dance instruction. Great for absolute beginners and advanced dancers alike,  belly dance vocabulary, foundational technique, isolations, foot patterns, technical drills, posture, dance combinations, finger cymbals, basic music and timing, warm up and cool down are taught in class. These classes are technique based and not stylized, great for dancers of any style and level looking for a strong belly dance foundation based on classical training methods.

With a rich background in the performing arts, Andrea shares her lifelong involvement in acting, music and dance in her role as choreographer, instructor and performer. Cumulating 2 decades of experience in various dance genres (belly dance, bharatanatyam, ballet and modern) Andrea integrates philosophies from these various forms into her teaching and performance style.  Andrea  is Suhaila Level  4 and Jamilla Level 3 certified and pursuing her Suhaila and Jamilla Salimpour format teaching certification.
