Hi All, I can't believe it's Fall! Where did the year go? We have some exciting new developments at FCBD®: Friday Sessions are turning out to be really fun, we have four to choose from this month; Kae's Zero to Sixty, two Flow classes with Yours Truly and most notably Chinese Dances with guest teacher Mihrimah. From the catalog: the new OG Dress is in stock now, so glad you all like it!
The mysterious Harry Saroyan has sent us a small batch of
FCBD® Signature Zils. Get them while they last because we don't know when, or if, the next batch will come. One of the things I really want to get back to doing is costume workshops. We've collected an array of DIY bits and pieces for decorating bras, belts and what-have-you. Have a look now and check back in Nov for a few Friday Sessions focused on making your own costume. --Carolena

Chinese Dances

Rarely shown and taught, the Chinese dances are actually sweet and beautiful. From the happy dances of Tibet to the graceful peacock dance of the Dai people, Mihrimah takes you on a journey through the country, showing steps and costumes from various communities, including rare endangered ones.
In her stays in China, Mihrimah has develop friendship bounds with different minorities who have taught her their dances and traditions.
Born in France and currently travelling the world to teach and perform, Mihrimah's creative style and dance experience makes her a valued teacher wherever she goes. Strongly influenced by her training in physical theatre, ballet and modern, her style is a unique fusion of dance forms. She successfully blends the Ancient and the New, Tradition and Innovation incorporating Gypsy, Oriental and Asian dance into her repertoire as well as classical and contemporary dance. Dancing in Flow with Carolena Nericcio - flow is dancing in the divine subconscious
Join Carolena for a series basic drills classes. All dance and no talk.
Perfect for L1 and L2 students who have attended classes and just need "empty brain time" to dance and get the steps into muscle memory. And L3 students who want to dance without thinking.
No verbal instruction, no partners or formations, just follow along and bliss out. - Open to ALL students. $15 or class card

Shimmies! with Kae Montgomery - Open to ALL students. $18 or 1 class card and $6
Let your ATS® Shimmy Shine! We will study closely the mechanics of what makes up the shimmy and Kae will lead you through various fun drills to get your shaking bigger, bouncier and bolder.
