Invitation to join the DSpace User Interface (UI) Working Group 
Based on the recently approved Roadmap, a new working group to oversee the DSpace User Interface (UI) replacement project is underway. We are extending an invitation to any interested community members to join this working group or take part in UI pilots. 

Telling DSpace Stories at University of Manitoba with Carell Jackimiek 
Telling DSpace Stories" is a community-led initiative aimed at introducing project leaders and their ideas to one another while providing details about DSpace implementations for the community and beyond. 

INVITATION: DSpace User Group Meeting in Tübingen, Germany 
The German DSpace User Group was reconstituted in October of 2014. The DSpace German-speaking community now has the opportunity to talk about DSpace topics face-to-face.

Cineca DSpace Service Provider Update 
It has been a hot and productive summer here in Cineca,  we have carried out several DSpace activities together with the go live of the National ORCID Hub to support the adoption of ORCID in Italy.

Open Repository,  a hosted DSpace-based repository solution from BioMed Central, was very pleased to attend and present at recent International conferences including the Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and the World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) held in Cape Town, South Africa.

Major Repository Networks Agree to Collaborate on Data Exchange, Technological Development, and Metadata 
On July 9 and 10, 2015, three major regional open access repository networks and aggregators (OpenAire, LA Referencia, and SHARE), along with the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) and Center for Open Science (COS) met in Charlottesville, Virginia, to discuss synergies and potential areas of collaboration.
