    Book Group Night
    Wednesday, May 31st, 7 pm

Pendragon's senior buyer, Christopher, will present books that would make great book group selections, on sale for 20% off at the presentation. Previous themed presentations have featured memoirs and speculative fiction; this month's theme is to be decided.
This bi-monthly event also features free review copies, refreshments and great conversation. All are welcome; you don't have to belong to a book group to attend. Pendragon Books, 5560 College Avenue, North Oakland. (510) 652-6259.

Peg and Penny Go to Washington

Our national trade show, Book Expo America, is in Washington D.C., and we will be there, buying cool books and enjoying great book talk...as well as meeting lots of authors. This year we will also be meeting with our state legislators to discuss issues of great concern to us as booksellers and as independent retailers--customer privacy, censorship, e-fairness, and Main Street matters, among other things.

    We're an All-Service Store

We can't cadge Diesel's great Full-Service Bookstore tagline (dang it!) but we do want to remind you of our range of bookish abilities: We can get you just about any book. Check out our Menu of Services to the right.

    Mother's Day is May 14th

Handmade, embossed, letterpress or silkscreened, we've chosen Mother's Day cards that we think will please some of our favorite moms.
