The next Big Thing
This year, we are moving from a Pre-Order format to a Direct Sale format! A Direct Sale will allow girls to have cookies in-hand as early as the first day of the program-January 10, 2014. The girl will collect money and the customer receives cookies in just one transaction! Another exciting change this year-cookie prices are now $4.00 per package. This means the girls can sell bundles of cookies of 5 for $20! And no more heavy coins! New Patch! While girls are participating in the Cookie Program, they can also work on earning their Mary Kay Entrepreneur patch! For more information on this patch program and for the activity guide, click here. Troop cookie volunteers: Remember to take your online TCM training as your troop cookie orders are due to council by December 15. If you have any questions or concerns, contact cookies@gsnetx.org. |

New Class: Café Conversations
Get your "buzz" on - program grade level conversations & best practices!
Re-energize yourself and connect with leaders of the same grade level over coffee (or hot chocolate!) and treats in small groups called "buzzes" at our Grade Level Cafe. 7 Troop Leaders in each grade level buzz will engage in a hosted conversation of best practices around topics such as getting parents involved, behavior management, money earning ideas, great events and field trips, etc. The buzz closes by sharing words of wisdom with the grade level behind you, and receiving words of wisdom from the grade level ahead of you. The $5 registration fee covers the cost of food and beverages. eBiz key word search is buzz.
New Class: Letting Girls Lead
The key to realizing the true promise of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience rests heavily on the "Girl Led" process.
When a Troop Leader struggles with relinquishing control, the girls are learning to be followers rather than leaders. This workshop shares techniques for getting to Girl Led and will help you identify where your areas for improvement can be found. Connect with other leaders in round robin focus groups and share your perspectives on these 4 burning topics:
* Techniques for Girl Decision Making
*What does girl led look like and sound like?
* What does a leader who lets girls lead look like and sound like?
* Is Fear of Mistakes Getting in the Way?
eBiz key word search is TR204.
