Mark Your Calendar...Online Renewal Day April 1, 2013!
Beginning April 1, parents will be able to renew their daughter's Girl Scout membership online for the upcoming 2013- 2014 membership year. As a BONUS, we are kicking off this process with a very special Online Renewal Day. What does that mean?  If parents renew their daughter's membership on 4/1, they will receive a 5% off coupon to any GSNETX shop PLUS a voucher for a free online renewal patch in early May. If you have any questions please feel free to contact your Service Unit registrar or Membership Specialist



Shorter Troop Camping Classes

Advanced Troop Camping class hours have been reduced from 27 to 3 hours. 

Yes, that's right. Course 302, formerly known as Advanced Troop Camp Training, has been repackaged and relaunched as course 302: On the Road Camping. No more planning sessions on a work or school night! No overnight required. Spring Training opportunities are available for registration in eBiz now. Click here to register.

Be Brave! (Grades 2-5 at Camp Gambill) Be an outdoor princess at camp with week as you make new friends, and then have participate in friendly archery competitions and kayaking races! 


Movie Magic
(Grades 2-5 at Camp Rocky Point) Your week at Camp Rocky Point will be a live action journey through some of the most popular movies!  Brownies will earn the "Making Friends" badge at camp this week.

Global Action Committee, Informational Meeting - April 24

We are looking for people who are interested in inter-cultural experiences and would like to serve on a committee which brings these opportunities to the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 starting at 7:00pm at the JoAnn Fogg Service Center. If you are interested, please RSVP to Becki Rush by April 19, 2013. London & Paris Trip

June 17-24, 2014.

This is a girl-only trip for 14-18 years old. If your Girl Scout will be at least 14 years old in the year of 2014 she will be eligible to attend. GSNETX has selected council-approved chaperones, so no other adults are needed. For more information contact Becki Rush at brush@gsnetx.org or visit http://girltrips.eftours.com/1272507. Just for the month of March, there is a $100 discount! 


The Volunteer-In-Training (V.I.T.) award is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors (who've completed 9th grade) who would like to mentor a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior, or Cadette group outside of the camp experience. One requirement for the award is a council-designed leadership course. For course dates and info visit

Day/Twilight Camps  

It's time to sign up for day/twilight camps. Registration and health history forms are located online at www.gsnetx.org/dtcamps. Click the button next to the camp you plan to attend, to find out where to mail your registration form and money. Day/Twilight camps are run by volunteers all over the council area. Girls can attend one or more camps. Volunteers are needed to help at camp. Sign up as a volunteer online at the same web page. Hope to see you this summer!  


Girl Scout Night at Rangers Ballpark 
April 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

Take me Out to the Ballgame! $2 from each ticket will be donated to GSNETX and a Girl Scout will be throwing out the first pitch. For tickets: www.texasrangers.com/grouptickets, click on Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and enter the password "northeastGS".
