Outreach Month Wrap-Up
October is over so that means that Outreach Month is over as well.
In Kentucky, we'd like to report three successful presentations:
1) Ashley Sells presented on the topic of engineering at her daughter's 1st Grade Class. Her daughter is the one in the back with the ponytail and apparently the one that asked a lot of questions!
2) Scott Walker conducted two presentations for his two older sons -- one in 2nd Grade and the other in Pre-School. Thanks to Stacy Keith at Louisville (KY) Metro, he was able to show them a full size traffic signal. The 2nd graders were very engaged, but the pre-schoolers may have learned more based on the questions they kept asking their parents that night.
We'd still like to hear from you if you made a visit to the classroom. Please contact Ashley Sells with your information.
Don't forget that you can do Outreach anytime during the year. If you were too busy last month, consider doing something in February for Engineer's Week.

Have You Seen This?
How many of you have Rubik's cube? How many of you can solve it? How many of you can solve it without peeling off the stickers? That's what I thought!
This video reminds us not to underestimate the learning ability of kids.
| 3 year old solves Rubik's Cube |
Thanks to my friend and colleague Jagan Kaja for sending this to me and for giving my son his first Rubik's Cube. While not 3, Jagan still got some attention as he solved the Cube right in front of us.

We hope you enjoyed this edition. Stay tuned for another edition in mid-December.
