COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
In 2013 we wanted to have a greater focus on our community. Indeed you may have seen us around over the last few months at various community events. We are excited to report that we have made great community connections through our public seminars, research showcases and local outreach programs. Here are a few to highlight.
Our own Scientific Director, Dr. Lisa Porter was the keynote speaker at the 8th Annual Earth Day dinner hosted by Canada South Science City. Dr. Porter spoke about the importance of stem cells, their role in cancer and their involvement in future cancer treatments.
