Welcoming the 2016-17 School Year
New students were welcomed on Thursday, August 18 and all students were welcomed back to the 2016-17 school year on Monday, August 22. We were especially glad to welcome new students and extend a special welcome to new staff and faculty. And today, September 1, we celebrated our all-school Opening Liturgy and it was good to be together as a school community.
Take a few minutes to read Mr. Richard Piwowarski's September 2016 Principal's letter. Also, visit Sr. Donna Marie Wolowicki's President's Blog with information about recent student service projects and other student news. We are all looking forward to a great school year! |
Upcoming Parent Meetings & Reminders
Tues, Sept 13 - Parents Club Meeting at 7 pm in the Library Join us to meet with Principal Richard Piwowarski and hear Resurrection Educational Technologist Joe Lascon on the topic: "Your Daughter's Digital Footprint." Mon, Sept 19 - College Night at 7 pm at Resurrection
Student Drop-off & Pick-up
Students are to use Door 8 in the morning to enter the building before school. Drop-off is in the main parking lot by the gym and entrance to Door 8. No students are to use the Main Entrance unless they are arriving after the school day begins and Door 8 is locked.
After school, pick-up is outside Door 3 and Door 8. For safety of students and emergency vehicle access, the drives are to remain clear of standing traffic. Drivers must pull into a parking space to wait for their students. This will help alleviate traffic congestion and make the parking lot and drives much safer for those students who are walking to meet rides or leaving our campus.

Fundraising Packet
Tuition only covers about 80% of the cost of a Resurrection education. Each student currently receives a subsidy of approximately $3,400 and
fundraising helps us fill that gap and allows us to expand school programs, assist with upgrades and fund scholarships.
That is why we count on, invite and encourage you to help us fill the gap by participating in our fundraisers.
Thank you for all you do to support the educational environment for
your daughter here at Resurrection College Prep!

As the country prepares for another presidential election, join Mr. Mike Longo, Resurrection Religious Studies teacher and Chamber Ensemble director, in the upcoming adult enrichment course. This Fall 2016 Adult Education Course will look at the Office of the Presidency. Course participants will explore questions such as: How has the Office of the Presidency shaped the people who have occupied it? How have the Presidents themselves redefined the Office? What historical events and what type of character help to make what history has measured as a "great" president and what can we learn about the direction of race relations in our country with the twice-elected first bi-racial president?
