Food Drive - "Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat" - Food Collection
Extended to Monday, November 2

Help Feed the Need!  Monday, November 2 is the final day to bring in nonperishable food items for Resurrection's annual food drive!  The International Thespian Troupe, along with members of the Drama Club, is collecting nonperishable food items as part of a national effort by the International Thespian Society to help and raise awareness of hunger in local communities. 

Each student is encouraged to bring in five non-perishable food items to their Religion class. All items collected will be donated to the New Hope Community Food Pantry in Norwood Park. The class level that collects the most food will receive an out-of-uniform day.  
 
Cash Raffle Drawing - Monday, November 2

The second Cash Raffle drawing will be Monday, November 2 at the All Soul's Day Liturgy. Send you your sold ticket stubs and payment by 8:30 am to be entered into the drawing.  The final drawing will be held on December 8 and all tickets must be returned by December 7.  The sooner you enter, the more chances you have to win!

Sophomore Class Toiletries Drive - November 2 to 6

The Sophomore Class is sponsoring a toiletries drive to benefit Sarah's Circle, an organization in Chicago's Uptown community serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space.
 
Items needed include deodorant, disposable razors, toothbrushes, chapstick, travel sized toothpaste, cough drops, bandaids, travel sized hand sanitizer, small Kleenex packets and multi-vitamins
 
Please leave all items in the packaging.  Boxes will be available in all Sophomore seminars and items will will be accepted from November 2 until November 6.

Parents Club Meeting - Tuesday, November 10

All are welcome to attend the upcoming Parents Club Meeting on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00 pm in the Library.  Guest speaker Lauren Fontana or Urban Wellness will address the topic of Stress and Anxiety in Teenage Girls.  More details.

Next Open House - Sunday, November 8
 
The second Resurrection Open House will be Sunday, November 8 from 2:00-4:00 pm.  Please help us spread the word and encourage friends and neighbors to attend with their daughters.  

Thank you to all of our Students Ambassadors, NHS members, Fine Arts students, parents and other volunteers who helped with the October 29th Open House or will be helping with the upcoming Open House.  

Junior Parent Meeting - Thursday, November 12

Junior parents/guardians and students are encouraged to attend the Junior Parent Meeting on Thursday, November 12 at 7 pm in the Little Theatre.   Topics to be discussed include the college search process, results of the ACT Practice Test that was administered on October 20 and the benefits of taking an ACT Prep course.

Arts & Crafts Fair - Saturday, November 14

The annual fall Arts & Crafts Fair is Saturday, November 14 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Over 175 crafters and vendors  will be selling holiday gifts, accessories, food items and more.  Additional parent volunteers are needed to help from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Please contact Carol Marchetti at [email protected] to volunteer.

Fall Athletic Banquet - Wednesday, November 18 - (NOTE NEW DATE)


The Fall Athletic Banquet will be held on Wednesday, November 18 - purchase tickets by November 11.  Details available here.
