Grandparents Night
Invitations have been mailed to students' grandparents in our database for our annual Grandparents Night Dinner on Wednesday, September 16 at 6 pm.
If your daughter's grandparents have not received an invitation, you may find a copy of the invitation here. Any special adult in the life of your daughter is welcome to attend. Please contact Carol Marchetti at cmarchetti@reshs.org or at 773.775.6616 Ext 112 with any questions.

Leadership at Res - Club Officer Inductions
Student leaders, including officers of all Resurrection clubs and organizations, participated in an Officer Workshop on Friday morning, August 28. Officers attended sessions on "How to Run a Meeting," "Minutes and Reports" and "Effective Communication for Leaders." Following the workshop session, officers took an Club Officer Pledge and were inducted into their positions. Each officer received a Leadership Pin which was presented by Resurrection President Sr. Donna Marie and Principal Maria Hawk. Congratulations to all of our student officers - we are looking forward to a great year!

Access to School Office
Students, parents and visitors should continue to enter the school by the Student Entrance/Temporary Main Entrance/Door # 8 located between the gym and the loading dock off the back parking lot.
For safety reasons, all doors at Resurrection are locked during the school day. While the front entrance is closed during the final weeks of construction, visitors may access the school office during the school day by calling 773.775.6616 Ext 110 to arrange for an escort to meet them at Door #8.

Res Scholars Announced
Congratulations to our Res Scholars who were acknowledged following our Back to School Liturgy on Thursday, August 27. Res Scholars are the top ten students in the sophomore, junior and senior class and the incoming freshmen who earned the top entrance exam scores and were awarded the Resurrection College Prep Block Family Foundation Top Ten Tester Scholarship.

Fundraising Packet
Watch for the complete 2015-16 fundraising packet to be sent home with your daughter soon.
As you know, tuition only covers approximately 80% of the cost of a Resurrection education. Each student currently receives a $3,390 subsidy and fundraising helps us fill that gap. Thank you for all you do to support the educational environment for your daughter here at Resurrection College Prep!
The 2015-16 fundraising packet will include Cash Raffle tickets (our only mandatory fundraiser), Walk-a-Thon forms, and information about all of our major fundraising activities for the current school year.

Fall 2015 Adult Enrichment Course
The Power of the Pen: American Literature and History
Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm
September 15 & 29 and October 13 & 27
at Resurrection College Prep High School
Join Resurrection Religious Studies teacher and Chamber Ensemble director Mr. Mike Longo in the upcoming adult enrichment course. Participants will will explore the period from the late 19th Century through the early 20th Century by reading authors such as Nathaniel Hawthorne, Herman Melville, Edith Wharton and Mark Twain.
