Talcott Construction Update

The sewer construction in the West Talcott Ave. and North Harlem Ave. intersection is nearly complete.  The only work remaining is the installation of two new catch basins and roadway base course in the Southwest corner of the intersection.  Currently, the intersection is open to Eastbound and Westbound traffic on West Talcott Ave.  Northbound and Southbound traffic on Harlem Ave. will remain 1 lane in each direction until the end of the week.  The intersection will be fully opened by Friday, March 20th, weather permitting.

As sewer installation progresses West on Talcott Avenue, Westbound traffic will be diverted around the work zone with the assistance of flaggers to ensure the safety of the motoring public.  Expect delays.

In the coming weeks, work in the area will include street base restoration in the West Bryn Mawr Avenue and North Neva Avenue intersection and restoration of the ADA sidewalk ramps on North Neva Avenue.
