Catholic Schools Week 2015
Resurrection College Prep High School celebrated Catholic Schools Week from January 25 to 30, 2015 with the following activities: the Winter Pep Rally on Monday; Service Projects on Tuesday, Retreat Day on Wednesday; the Academic Quiz Show and Student Council V-Show on Wednesday & Thursday; Alumnae Career Days on Thursday & Friday and our Catholic School Week Liturgy on Friday. 
Parents, did you receive your gift from the Campus Ministry Team? Ask your daughter for the new red car magnet that was sent home during Catholic Schools Week. We hope to see the Resurrection Banner proudly displayed on cars all over the city spreading the Resurrection school spirit!

The Big Money Raffle drawing will be held at The Charity & Truth Gala on Saturday, February 21. Tickets are $50 and only 500 will be sold. Rules, details and ticket purchase information can be found here. The grand prize is $10,000 and second prize is $2,000.

Principal's Letter & Bullying Policy
Take a few moments to read Principal Maria Hawk's February 2015 letter to parents and students for information about upcoming registration for summer programs and the 2015-16 school year, new policies and other information.
During Catholic Schools week sophomores attended an interactive presentation by Imagination Theatre on the topic of Bullying. On Friday, January 30 Principal Maria Hawk provided an overview for students on the newly instituted Student Bullying Policy.

A highlight of the season was a visit by Archbishop Blase Cupich at the Resurrection vs. Mother McAuley basketball game on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Thanks to everyone who came out to meet our new Archbishop and cheer on the Bandits!
Resurrection will host St. Joe's on Tuesday, February 3 in the first round of the Junior-Varsity Basketball GCAC Championship Tournament. Game time is 5:30 pm. Resurrection will also host Regina in the first round of the Varsity Basketball GCAC Championship Tournament this Wednesday, February 4. Game will begin at 7 pm in the Res gym - come cheer on our student athletes!
Res is also hosting St. Joe's tonight in AC Championship Tournm.

"Experience Res" Day
7th grade girls are welcome
on Friday, February 13, 2015
8 am - 3 pm  This special day is designed just for 7th grade girls. As they rotate through the nine academic areas at Resurrection, students meet with teachers, learn about our classes, the block schedule, clubs and activities.

Resurrection students are encouraged to donate their old jeans to Teens for Jeans. The jeans donated will help teens experiencing homelessness in the U.S. Jeans are the #1 requested item of clothing by homeless teens living in shelters.
Jeans can be any color or size, with a working zipper. Bring jeans up to the Development Office before Thursday, February 12 and place them in the blue box right off the elevator. Students can sign their name on the drop off sheet and you will receive a 20% off coupon to Aeropostale and will also be entered into a drawing for a $25 dollar gift card to the store.

Parents can enjoy a night out while the kids explore a night in, led by the Resurrection Science National Honor Society members. Participants will experience a fun scavenger hunt in our 7 science labs as well as engage in hands-on experiments that will inspire and amaze.
Parents may drop off or stay to enjoy the fun.
$5 per child - registration now available - share the info
with friends and neighbors with 1st to 4th grade children.

Alumnae Day

The tentative schedule will include an alumnae volleyball game at noon and alumnae basketball games at 1:45 pm and 3:15 pm.
All alumnae are welcome to participate and students, parents and friends are welcome to come cheer on our alumnae athletes!
