Thank you to the Men's Club Thank you from the staff and faculty of Resurrection for the lovely appreciation luncheon on Wednesday, December 3rd provided by the Resurrection Men's Club and Whole Foods. Thank you!
Final Cash Raffle Drawing
The final mandatory Cash Raffle drawing will be Monday, December 8. Any last minute ticket stubs and payments should be made the Main Office before 8 am on Monday. A reminder that if you are a Tuition Assistance family, you must participate in the Mandatory Cash raffle by selling $200 in cash raffle tickets in order to receive your tuition assistance for the 2014-2015 school year.
The Cash Raffle is the only mandatory fundraiser at Resurrection. Other fundraising efforts are outlined in the 2014-15 Fundraising Packet that all families received at the beginning of the school year and on the Supporting Res section of our website.
Since tuition only covers approximately 80% of the cost of educating a student at Resurrection, we depend on the support and generosity of our all of our parents, alumnae and donors. Thank you for all you do to support our students and school community and good luck to all Cash Raffle participants!
Reminder - Alumnae Scholarship Applications Due
Applications for the Alumnae Scholarship are due this Monday, December 8. Students with alumnae heritage are eligible to apply. Essay instructions and application materials are available here.
Parents Club Christmas Fund Collection
The Parents Club Christmas Fund Collection is underway. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. If you haven't donated yet, please consider sending in a donation this week. Thank you for helping us thank the Resurrection staff for all they do for our girls.
Update: Detours due to Sewer Upgrades
Sewer upgrades continue on the streets around Resurrection and detours near the school continue. We have been informed that the next major phase of construction involves installation of a junction chamber which will connect sewers on West Bryn Mawr Avenue. Because of the size of the excavation required, Bryn Mawr will need to be closed at the Neva intersection. A detour will be installed as so that preliminary work can begin. A map of the detour is here and the City of Chicago Department of Water has informed us that they anticipate this portion of work to last through December, weather dependent.
