Romeo & Juliet Auditions

Tuesday, January 7 from 3-6pm and
Wednesday, January 8 from 3-6pm

   
Needed: 1-4 males, 16-20 females 

Prepare or read a soliloquy
from the script.
Singers - prepare a contemporary ballad
no longer than 1 minute. 

 

Students do not need to attend both audition dates,
and may attend after choir and V-Show rehearsals.

Calling All Student Film Makers!

  


Teens of the Archdiocese of Chicago
are invited to create an original 2-minute video about the following topic: the importance of parents passing on the faith to the next generation. The video contest includes cash prizes for the first, second and third place winners. The contest is open to all teens of the Archdiocese of Chicago from freshmen to seniors and provides an opportunity to reach out to other teens.  

 

The deadline for submitting a video is January 15, 2014.  More information is available here.

  


Also, the White House Student Film Festival is accepting film entries from K-12 students from around the country. Students are invited to create and submit a one- to three-minute short web video that addresses at least one of the following themes: 1. How you currently use technology in your classroom or school; and/ or 2. The role technology will play in education in the future

 

Finalists could have their videos screened at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, and posted on the White House website. Every student entry has to have a parent/guardian or teacher sponsor and films can be submitted now through January 29th, 2014. More information is available here.

 


  

Bandit Athletics  

 

Congratulations to student athletes who were honored at the Fall Athletic Banquet on November 13, 2013 at Victoria Beau Jolie.  

 

Individual teams and players in the Cross Country, Golf, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball programs were honored for their achievements.

Resurrection College Prep High School is currently in the process of a Principal selection process and we are grateful to Interim Principal Kathy Rzany for her leadership during the current school year.
 
Resurrection also seeks an experienced individual who will serve as the Alumnae Relations and Grant Writing CoordinatorCandidates   for this position must be knowledgeable and experienced in grant writing as well as the ability to develop and cultivate relationships with alumnae and prospective foundation donors.  

Coaching positions are also available for the following athletic programs for the current spring season:  Freshman Softball, Junior Varsity Track and Field and Junior Varsity Water Polo.

  The Civil War Part II - from Vicksburg to Lincoln to the 21st Century

February 25, March 11, March 25 & April 8 
 

Join the Spring Adult Education class with Resurrection faculty member Mr. Mike Longo. The class will begin with the final day of the Battle of Gettysburg (July 3, 1863) and the Union victory under Grant at Vicksburg (July 4, 1863). The course will cover the final months of the Civil War, through Lincoln's assassination, and will explore the meaning of the Civil War and the meaning of Lincoln's Presidency for our own time.
