Farewell from President/Principal Dr. Lynne Saccaro
Dear Friends of Resurrection,
On May 29th the 88th commencement ceremony was held as we celebrated the 145 young women of the Class of 2013. The Copernicus Center was filled with the many families and friends of the graduates who happily lingered well after the ceremony ended.
As you know, 2013 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Vatican II. Fifty years...has it been that long ago? How fitting that Pope Francis was chosen to lead the Church at this time in its history and during this anniversary year. Pope Francis's manner and message indicates that he is modeling behaviors for us that are expected of a follower of Jesus.
The Resurrection Strategic Plan 2013-2016 was completed in March and plans for its implementation will begin this summer. The five areas of the plan include: Catholic Identity, Development and Marketing, Enrollment Management, Finance and Human Resources. These areas address the current and near-future needs of our school and place it on solid footing. I would strongly encourage you to become involved in an area that is of interest to you. Your participation, your expertise and your experience will be greatly appreciated.
As I end my career at Resurrection, I would like to thank you for your commitment to our magnificent young women and for your support and enthusiasm concerning the many changes that have occurred during the past six years. Thank you for entrusting your daughter to us and for the many sacrifices you have made on her behalf. The joy, enthusiasm and caring the women of Resurrection have for others and each other is remarkable. I have been profoundly changed in a number of ways by my experience at Resurrection and will, without hesitation, say "Resurrection is the place to be!"
In Charity and Truth,
Dr. Lynne Saccaro
