Res Fest 2013 Success
Our Indoor Block party hosted by Dick Biondi on Saturday, February 16 was a great success! More than 500 guests came out for some summertime fun in February. Delicious food was served, Goose Island Beer was consumed and the dance floor was packed all night long! The game room was full and there were winners and losers at the Money Wheel. Many guests went home with one of our 52 fantastic baskets or 30 Silent Auction items.
A special thanks to all of the families and staff who donated wine, gift cards, basket fillers and services or came out to volunteer for the event! We appreciate the dedicated planning committee and all of our sponsors - please see more details here. What a fantastic team!
Thank you so much!
Check the Resurrection website soon for pictures from this fun night!

Lenten Observances at Resurrection
The Resurrection school community started the season of Lent with an all-school Ash Wednesday prayer service on February 13 and Lenten prayers have been incorporated into morning and classroom prayers. The Seekers Club has invited all students and staff to take part in a 5 minute-a-day Lenten prayer challenge. Students have many opportunities for giving during this season, including donating time to service opportunities and contributing money to Operation Rice Bowl. The sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered on March 21 and 22 for all students and staff who wish to participate. |
In an effort to keep our tuition as low as possible, Resurrection offers families a Mandatory Fundraiser in the form of a Cash Raffle. Res families have the opportunity to either sell $200 worth of raffle tickets or be billed for $200 on their spring tuition.
School families were given from late August until February to sell their raffle tickets and each month, from September to February, one lucky winner won $1000! Student ticket sellers were also in a monthly drawing to win $100.
The final $1,000 Cash Raffle Drawing was pulled by host Dick Biondi at Res Fest on February 16 and the winner was Tom Dezort. On Wednesday February 20 the final $100 student ticket-seller drawing was held and the winner was Vanessa Pedroza. Also held on February 20 was a drawing for $1,000 for all families who sold $250 or more in raffle tickets. The $1,000 family winner was the Pergam Family.
