This newsletter is going to be short and sweet, because I'm moving to  Hawaii in 9 days!  As you can imagine, I still have a lot to get done before the big day.

Here's how you can help! I have about a dozen harps made by The Harpsicle Harp Company that I'd love to sell before I go.  Although I'll still be selling the Harpsicle line of harps in Hawaii, I'd prefer to ship these harps to YOU, instead of to Hawaii.  So, I'm proud to announce that these harps are 10% off this weekend only!  See below for more information on this great sale.

I also want to let you know about some exciting new books and PDFs that are now available. Be sure to check out the New Product section below.

As I've mentioned before, I am NOT RETIRING. I'm still here to help you and offer you high-quality harp products.  I'll just be doing it very soon from beautiful Kauai, Hawaii!

Aloha!
Sylvia

Billy Joel #1. Billy Joel for Harp: 10 Selections for Lever and Pedal Harp arranged by Emily Brecker
This fun new book is hot off the presses this week!   These 10 Billy Joel favorites are for harp players of almost any level, because there are two arrangements of each title. The first, at the intermediate / advanced level, is for pedal harps and large lever harps tuned to E-flat. The second, at the beginner / intermediate level, is intended for small lever harps tuned to C, but can be played on any harp. These easier arrangements contain few, if any, lever changes. Harpist Emily Brecker has kept the arrangements as close as possible to Billy Joel's original songs, as performed on his recordings. There are specific tuning instructions for lever harps in the top left corner of some arrangements. Lever changes are shown with diamond note heads. Pedal markings are located below the bass staff. There are just a few fingerings. Emily has included a useful chart of the symbols and abbreviations she uses in the book. 84 pages of music, paperbound.  Includes: And So It Goes, Don't Ask Me Why, Honesty, I've Loved These Days, An Innocent Man, The Longest Time, Piano Man, She's Got a Way, You're My Home, and Summer, Highland Falls.
Product #7392b, $16.99

#2. Harry Potter Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone booklet -
2 pieces for pedal harp by John Williams

This pedal harp book is finally back in print!  The package includes 2 separate sheet musics of pieces from the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Fluffy's Harp and Hedwig's Theme. Each piece is 3 pages, and pedal changes are listed. The arrangements are for intermediate to advanced pedal harpists. (Sorry, but these can not be played on a lever harp, they are for PEDAL harp only.)
Product #6925b, $9.95

#3. PDFs of Scottish and Manx music by Rachel Hair Mostly Scottish Harp #1
I'm proud to announce the arrival of 3 books in PDF format by Scottish Celtic harpist and composer, Rachel Hair.

Mostly Scottish Harp, Book 1, and Mostly Scottish Harp, Book 2 include jigs, reels, strathspeys, marches, and slow airs from Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and Rachel's own imagination!
Products p7332 and p7333, $14.95 each.

Claasagh, Book 1 Claasagh is a selection of 20 traditional Manx tunes (from the Isle of Man) that was commissioned by the Manx Heritage Foundation. Celtic harpist Rachel Hair has arranged them for beginning to advanced harp players. It includes airs, jigs, slip jigs, reels, lullabies, and a march. Keys range from C to 3 sharps. A few pieces have sharping lever changes, which are notated in the music. Right hand fingerings are usually included the first time a passage appears, but not on repeated phrases or sections. There are no fingerings in the left hand. 33 pages of music.
