Ironman Wisconsin  Information
On Sunday September 13th, the cycling portion of the Ironman Wisconsin Race will pass through Verona. Fans can cheer on the participants at the Verona Loop Festival on North Main Street. The Verona Loop Festival features food provided by several youth sports teams. Shuttle buses run between the festival and downtown Madison during the event.

City streets that will be affected by the race are: Whalen, S. Main, Locust, Bruce, Paoli, Nine Mound, Cross Country, N. Main, E. Verona, and Old Hwy PB. The intersection of Old Hwy PB at Whalen should be avoided, if possible as this is where the racers enter and leave the City, causing longer delays. The ramps at US-18/151 at Paoli Street will be closed during the duration of the race. It is recommended US-18/151 be accessed via W. Verona Ave at Epic Lane, as this location is unaffected by the race. The first cyclist usually enters the City on Whalen Rd. at approximately 7:15 AM. The last cyclist will pass through the City no later than 5:30 PM. For more information, visit the Ironman Wisconsin Website
