WRRC Announces 2014 "Catch the Rain" Photo Contest Winners

The UA Water Resources Research Center is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 WRRC Photo Contest: Joanne Toms, Jessica Driscoll and Luke Parsons.

These photographers' winning photos excelled in capturing this year's theme of "Catch the Rain", telling the story of Arizona's uncommon connection with (and use of) rain through interesting photo perspectives, unique detail shots, fascinating vistas, and people in action. Photographers were asked to submit Arizona-specific photos during the summer monsoon in two categories: "Catch and Reuse," and "Water in Nature." The top three photographs will receive cash awards as follows:
  • $100 Best of Show - Joanne Toms
  • $75 Best of Category "Water In Nature" - Luke Parsons
  • $75 Best of Category "Catch and Reuse" - Jessica Driscoll
These three photographs will be featured in the Winter WRRC Arizona Water Resource newsletter and are included in a WRRC photo presentation (top 20 photos) posted on the WRRC website. The 17 runners-up are also included in the WRRC photo presentation.
