Participatory Watershed Assessment Completes Draft Watershed Atlas
The Participatory Watershed Assessment for the Upper Gila River project has completed its draft Atlas of the Upper Gila River Watershed, and presented it on Jan. 8 to its steering committee and the Gila Watershed Partnership (GWP). The Atlas is a compilation of the natural, water and cultural resources of the Upper Gila River Watershed and is designed to be the starting point for future watershed planning. In 2014 the WRRC, Arizona Cooperative Extension and the GWP will use the conditions shown on these maps to develop a set of scenarios depicting the potential future condition of the watershed. See the Atlas online or contact Kelly Mott Lacroix for a hard copy.
