Plan for Board Study Sessions
The board discussed a plan to incorporate study sessions into the schedule of regular meetings during the year. Superintendent Kevin Case suggested using the second meetings of the month to study topics that need more time. The first topic will be "kindergarten readiness" and it will be scheduled for September or October.

Summer Project Report
Assistant Superintendent for Business Rob Scheib and Maintenance Director Bob Fancher reviewed the summer projects completed by the District Maintenance Department and contractors. Projects included a new roof at Logan Avenue, relining sewer lines from the kitchen at EHS, removing levels from the EMS cafetorium, and bathroom updates, new carpeting, and painting at several buildings.
Director of IT Operations Paul Beadles reviewed the summer technology work. Staff updated over 1,000 desktops and laptops to Windows 10 and cleaned and repaired (as needed) over 4,200 Chomebooks and tablets for student use.
