Dr. Shay Golan - Cracks Urology's da Vinci Code

Dr. Shay Golan is an artist with a robotic arm.
 
The 40-year-old Petach-Tikva native is an APF 2016-2017 Fellow in minimally invasive urologic oncology at The University of Chicago. There he uses the da Vinci robotic surgery system.
 
"The da Vinci system has now created a totally different surgery," he says. "We are looking at smaller, better-placed incisions and better surgical outcomes - less pain and blood loss and improved preservation of function.
