Board Member Profile: Dr. David Link

As Former Chief of Pediatrics at Cambridge Health Alliance and Chair of Pediatrics at Mount Auburn Hospital, Dr. Link oversees the care of thousands of children across greater Boston.

Dr. Link views public health as a core mission of pediatrics, and has been instrumental in establishing registries at CHA to monitor and improve child health. In particular, the Childhood Asthma Registry has dramatically reduced asthmatic children's emergency room visits and hospital admissions, and the immunization registry has increased immunization rates to historically high levels. Most recently, he has established the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) registry, which aims to optimize care for children with ADHD and improve their academic performance and behavior.

 October 2013
Dear ICH Supporter,

Welcome to The Institute for Community Health's (ICH's) October newsletter! We hope you enjoy our new, streamlined format.

As implementation of the Affordable Care Act begins this month, we would like to call particular attention to this time of opportunity for local and national improvements in health care delivery and public health practice.

Here at ICH, we have a long-standing commitment to working in

collaboration with community-based organizations, hospitals, health departments, and others to build capacity
and impact the health of communities.  We look forward to new and continued opportunities to work together.
