Policy Corner 

 

There is so much going on in LA County, and in the state, that we sometimes forget about national policy. So this month we wanted to raise awareness about a critical bill in Congress. In the waning moments of the session, Congress has an opportunity to pass S. 306, the National Justice Commission Act, which would create an independent commission to conduct a top-to-bottom review of the criminal justice system and make recommendations for reforms. LARRP signed on to a letter of support for this critical legislation. Click here for more

LARRP Announces Our New Website

 

Our new website is up and running at  www.lareentry.org. We thank the Rosenberg Foundation for their generous support of this project. We welcome your input and comments and hope that you will share your events and activities by posting them on this site. Please send any input and materials to info@lareentry.org. 

 

We'll be using the website, as well as our email system, for policy action alerts. Watch for the orange arrow on the Home page to give notice of immediate ways you can support building a strong and effective community corrections systems in Los Angeles County.

Preparing Disability Claims

After completing the three classes, participants will receive a certification of completion and onsite technical assistance from the Social Security Administration.  Additionally, participants will be connected to a network of colleagues, trainers, and resources that will provide the ongoing support necessary to master the benefits application process. January LARRP Membership Meeting
