| Jeanie Sumners 2016 Board Chair |
We are just beginning the second half of our year, or as some may call it 'our season'. Which means travelers from all over the world are starting to begin their vacations. High school graduates are getting ready to spread their wings and students from Monterey Peninsula and Hartnell Colleges, and California State University Monterey Bay are going home for the summer. We also have students that are very interested in this beautiful area that we call home who will be working through the summer as an intern to discover what makes the Monterey Peninsula so magical. We live in a beautiful destination that has 'world class' written all over it. From the places to eat, things to do and where to stay, to our award-winning wineries that have become the wine region of North America. We are so lucky to have so much to offer in such a small village.
There is a lot going on with our members too. Let's not forget how important it is to support our member ribbon cuttings, such as Andre's Bouchee Bistro and our member mixer/grand opening at the Outdoor Forest Theater on June 1. It's a great way to reconnect and, of course to support their success. If their businesses are successful, so are yours.
Please don't forget the Launch Party at the Carmel Visitor Center on June 3 where we introduce our new Guide to Carmel. Won't you come and join us to celebrate?
I hope you can also join us for the Annual Membership Luncheon on Friday, June 10. We are going to celebrate milestones of our members at Folktale Winery and Vineyards. A huge thank you to our Presenting Sponsor Carmel Realty Company.
I hope you know how much we appreciate your participation.
