We hope everyone has the opportunity to stop and reflect on all we have to be thankful for...family, friends, community, business and the good fortune to live in such an awesome part of the world.
There are many exciting Holiday events for us all to look forward to this year including the Carmel-by-the-Sea Christmas Tree lighting on December 4, Inns of Distinction tour on December 6, the Awards of Excellence at Quail Lodge on December 9 and Carmel-by-the Glass on December 11 at the La Playa along with many other Holiday Festivities.
As 2015 draws to a close, please join me in recognizing Lisa Dias, John Lloyd, Gerard Mattimoe, Steve Summers, Scott Caraccioli and Rob Arnold for all their time, effort and dedication to the Carmel Chamber of Commerce. As we transition into a new year, we welcome our new Board members Cynthia Buhl, Debra Burns, Stefani Chaney, Soerke Peters, Bobby Richards, Kimberly Willison and Kris Toscano. Thank you in advance for your service to our community.
I have been privileged to serve as the Board Chairman this last year. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Monta Potter, the Chamber staff and the Board of Directors. I believe the future is bright for your Chamber and the community at large. However, there are tough issues for us to discuss. I'm hopeful that we can all listen/hear each other's point of view, gain consensus and compromise for the benefit of our village and the Chamber. 2016 marks the 100th Anniversary of Carmel-by- the-Sea and the yearlong celebration will be reflective, memorable and help set the foundation for our next 100 years. The Chamber has created a commemorative lantern for the celebration which can be purchased at the Chamber offices.
