April 2016 Newsletter
March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb...

Since March did come in like a lion, finally bringing snow and cold weather, let's welcome it leaving us like a lamb.  The forsythia is blooming, buds are on the lilac bushes, and the birds are filling the air with those joyous sounds of Spring.  April is a month of new beginnings.  In library world, it brings National Library Week April 10-16, a time to celebrate the impact that libraries make on their communities across the country, and a time to thank you for supporting us in ever-increasing numbers.  We are planning an exciting week that just so happens to also coincide with our annual budget vote and trustee election this year.  There will be something here for everyone to enjoy.  You will have a chance to donate food and have your fines waived, learn about birds of prey, play chess or de-stress with our coloring program for adults, share your original poetry at our open mic night, take in a classic movie or two for free!, join a new book club or teen writer's club or just...dig in the dirt and help revive our story garden.  Mostly, we just want to see you!  So come out and share in the festivities, learn a thing or two, cast your very important library vote, and see what we have been up to lately.  You will be pleased!
