From the Library Director...
Conn ection and meaning. That's what people are looking for in today's world according to futurist/thought leader and business strategist, Seth Godin. In these days of digital connectedness and the endless bombardment of information, Godin maintains that we still crave the human touch, the face to face conversation, and relationships that bring meaning and purpose to our lives. It's not all about money or having the latest devices. What we don't have enough of is time or meaningful connection. "If people can offer us connection and meaning and a place where we can be our best selves -- we will seek that out," asserts Godin. There are few public places where this can happen, which is why the public library remains that essential community connection, the central location where all are welcome. We are a gathering place, an education center, a digital connect. We welcome you to come and use our digital tools, ask questions and seek help from our knowledgeable staff, as well as share our materials. So if you haven't dropped in here in awhile, please do! See what we are offering up this Spring. Check out our online tools and access to our catalog to order conveniently from home. But do stop in, stay awhile, meet up with friends, learn something new. We would like to make the connection.
