August 2015 Newsletter
From the Cornwall Public Library Board of Trustees...

It is with mixed emotions that the Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation of our director, Karen LaRocca-Fels. Karen has been a valuable asset to our library community, and we wish her well as she moves on to be the Director of the Ossining Library in mid-August.

In order to ensure a smooth transition and the continuation of the Library's many programs, the Board has already formed a search committee for a new director, consisting of Board members, staff, and representatives of the Friends of the Cornwall Library and the Cornwall Library Foundation. We expect our thorough search for the ideal candidate to take some time. The Board is also interviewing for an Interim Director and anticipates having someone in place soon.

It is the Board's utmost priority to find a new director who will share its vision of developing Cornwall's library for the future, while continuing to offer the excellent programs and services that our community has come to expect and rely on from our library. The Board welcomes comments and suggestions from its patrons regarding this search. Please send them to our e-mail corboardpres@rcls.org or drop them off in an envelope in the Board's mailbox at the library.

The Board of Trustees is committed to continuing the Library's excellence with a new director. We will continue to keep the community informed and involved as the process unfolds.

Sincerely,

The Board of Trustees of the Cornwall Public Library
